Paula Deen’s Red Hot Sticky Wings
Seriously Tasty: Paula Deen’s Red Hot Sticky Wings

I do love ‘em! Nuclear ones? For sure. Barbecue sauced? Oh yes. Super messy? Um, is there any other way?! I don’t think there’s a single type of chicken wing that I do not enjoy.

I’m not exactly sure when and where my love for the wing developed, but since my college days they have been a staple of my dining out experience. I, on occasion, attempt to fight my natural urge and order something else – but, I usually fail and find myself saying to the server, “So, tell me about your wings.”

I sort of feel bad for my friends and family who eat with me. They have the unfortunate view of barbecue sauce smeared from my upper cheek to my lower chin. For a while I think the spectacle embarrassed certain ones, but now they overlook it. I, mean, honestly, they may as well. How do you even eat a wing neatly? Is it possible?! And besides, I think the messiness adds to their charm (and mine).

Do you love chicken wings? I’ve tried almost all of these on our website. Paula’s Hot Sticky Wings (see the image) are my fave.

So, I’m dying to hear from you – what’s your take on chicken wings? And, can you eat them without getting dirty? If so, tell me your secret!

i just accept the fact that it's not going to be a clean experience, no matter what delusions may come to mind. in fact, if you spend more time worrying about keeping it clean, you take your mind off the good flavor of the wings. i say, don't be distracted by clean. focus in on the flavor.

oh, and the benefit of messy wings is that you have taste on your face the rest of the night.

The only way to go to have a REAL chicken wing is BUFFALO STYLE!!!

  4. Jill says:

If you want real wings, you must come to Buffalo,NY where they were originated. While they were created at the Anchor Bar, many people prefer Duff's wings. I suppose it's a matter of personal preference. On Labor Day Weekend, Buffalo holds a Chicken Wing Festival at the local baseball stadium. The only requirements for that day are plenty of wet-naps and lots of beer!

As much as I love buffalo wings, sometime I LOVE making them with just a southwest rub and throw em on the grill. Soo delicious.

I love wings! I had some tasty ones here in Dublin just a few weeks ago :) I hadn't realized how much I had missed them until that first bite! Concerning the mess…I just apologize/warn those with me before my first bite.

I LOVE wings. Being Asian, I am strongly biased towards wings in Asian flavours such as Korean soy garlic fried chicken wings, but my favorite is unfortunately a dying recipe that is quickly disappearing from restaurants near me. The Thai boneless stuffed chicken wings are a gift from culinary god. If anyone knows where to find them in NYC, please do reply.

Please come to Philadelphia and indulge yourself in the greatest of all wings. It's a korean place up in North Philly. Cafe SoHo is the name and best all time chicken wing is the Game!

I make a mean Teri Yaki chicken wings. gooey and sticky and finger licking good and so easy to make. No bottled sauce can touch my homemade sauce.
