Thank you Susie for acknowledging that integrity is more important than camera presence.
HERE'S HOPING TONIGHT THEY PROVE IT!
You've got to be kidding………………nice post Susie…….I'll stick with watching the other shows from now on………………………..
Nice BS about the 'rigged' challenge. Taking any bias out of the equation as you suggest Debbie still had the easiest challenge…by far.
As far as your comment about integrity being more important than on screen presence why don't you back up your words with actions?
I agreed
AMEN
Thank you Susie for acknowledging that integrity is more important than camera presence. well then DEBBIE cannot win can she?
and YES Debbie had the easiest test, the others did have a harder test
Agreed-Hope tonight is the night thry prove it!
Disarm the critics by starting off with a smile and joking about the Debbie show suggestions.
Don't mention the cabers lie – 3 lies actually, in the dressing, didn't have and when confronted at judging – lied again and said I said "my bad" when she said my bad only after being forced to owning up.
Smug one word answers Does integrity matter YES
Well any 8 year old can tell you that actions speak lounder …
I am truly disappointed in Susie, now the vlog is a waste of time.
Oh please. Did you ever think that maybe Debbie DOESN"T win the compeition? Of course Susie can't say that Debbie gets kicked off this Sunday, so she's giving one word answers!! Duh!
In the end — THIS IS TV PEOPLE! I know, I for one tune in just to see what lie Debbie will say next. Now, I agree….if she gets picked….it's a whole other story.
But why is everyone getting their panties in a wad when it's not over? And why can't anyone but me see through Susie's obvious "mums the word" comments???
Richard
I see your points, but come on DL should have been eliminated weeks ago and that does get my panties in a wad.
I here you, KDM. She should have gone weeks ago, that is very true.
But, do you think anyone else that has been kicked off so far deserved a chance at the final two? NOT saying that Debbie deserves a shot, but I definitely don't think anyone else that got booted deserves that spot. I DO think that if Jeff and Melissa go to the last episode then that IS the right choice.
Just curious…..
And thats why I not on the boycott wagon. As much as I love Jamika, she has been out of sorts for a while now. I do think Michael could have been worked with though.
After the proposed titles for Debbie's program, Susie replied "they speak for themselves". No, they spoke for thousands! This tells me that viewer input isn't valued. It seems as if neither Susie nor Bob are listening. It's all pre-recorded and rigged, anyway. Perhaps a Phone-in-to-vote ala dance programs would work toward viewers opinions truly meaning something.
Do any of the contestants who didn't win the challenge get a program? Probably …. Debbie! Surprise, surprise …
Sharon,
When Susie said, "they speak for themselves" she wasn't saying that those titles are just the opinion of those who shared them, she was saying that the titles are so expressive and so correctly sum up the situation, that she (Susie) doesn't have anything to add to it.
Agreed!
Thanks, Susie. If Food Network REALLY believes that integrity is more important than camera presence we can all breathe a deep sigh of relief. That means that integrity challenged (putting it in the kindest way possible) Debbie is not the next Food Network star!
I wouldn't be so sure. Did you hear how she talked about debbie in the rigged challenge?
Mixed messages.
I'm with you! And still hope the FN will do the right thing.
I'm not so sure that the FN's definition of integrity is the same as the rest of us.
If she were I wouldn't watch her show. INTEGRITY MATTERS TO ME!!!!
Ok. My blood pressure is starting to go down after this post Susie. BUT live up to your words… if Debbie does NOT go home this Sunday, all faith is lost.
I must say Susie, sarcasm does not become you (it is rarely becoming) and is a disservice to everyone. If it bothers you that much to answer viewer issues why the v-blog? You criticized Jamika for her attitude and then exhibit condescending attitude towards your audience. Something does not compute and in fact is a turn off as you can see from the previous comments.
Kathy. Please see previous comment I made to Valerie.
I think Susie isn't being rude, she's foreshadowing.
I agree with you Kathy, the judges behavior is so contradictory to what they are saying that I can't believe their bosses don't call them on it!
You make a good point Delinda. I wonder if the bosses HAVE called them on it? This show was taped 6 month ago. It's not like they can retape. Well, they could but that won't happen. But the bosses could be saying, "What were you thinking?" I can understand keeping a contestant on for ratings up to a point, but this has gone on too long. If she doesn't go Sunday night and TPTB are keeping her yet another week for ratings, I believe they will be shooting themselves in the foot. The viewers are not stupid. We value integrity and are not getting it from these judges. Bobby Flay has dropped a few notches in my book.
I've been a big fan of the Food Network for years. I can safely say since it started. I use to watch CHEF DE JOUR, its great to see how all these chefs have evolved and what the the network has done for my passion for cooking. I love Mario, Tyler, Bobby. When I am home the tv is on the network and I get great ideas . But the reason for my comment is that I think that Jamica should have been given another chance. Reason being she is a calm, poised, confident person and I can learn from her ,she may need to broaden her horizons pertaining to some foods ,but I sense in her that willingness to learn . On the other hand Melissa's energy is not positive to me it turns me off , in Debbie I think you should be questioning her integrity, her personality maybe good for tv but for me there is too much eagerness and that can be a turn off, one needs to have a little humility and this is not a weakness but a strength. So who should have been voted off is Melissa. Thank you for giving me many years of guidance, motivation and a sense of fulfillment in my passion, that for some of us is insatiable. GREAT WORK….KEEP IT UP
What a way to skir the issue. But isn't it obvious, people? Debbie is the winner of this show and this is what you call 'Damage Control'. How ignorant do you think the viewers are? Debbie's rigged task was far from the horror that the other 2 contestants were faced with. And you know what made it worse…watching Debbie laughing at Melissa. I still see that image of her face and it just irritates me like you cannot believe. Really ope you ditch the Debbie show and stick with Jeffrey (or even Melissa, who is way too Mommy and Me but far outweighs Debbie).
It is obvious Gina. But you are reading Susie correctly!! Why would Susie say that integrity is more important than camera precence if DTK was NOT going to be kicked off?
That would be dumb…now I know what you're going to say, "Food Network has been dumb all along because they have kept her on this long." Yes, I agree. But I also know that I keep watching because of Debbie even though I hate her. (or at least strongly not like). And at the end of the day isn't that what tv corporate people want us to do? keep watching?
I doubt that they would edit a show showing all of debbies lies and not kick her off at the last minute.
Jeffery and Melissa are the best and they BOTH made it to the final two? I think the judges will get it right. Personally Jeffery is so much better than Mellissa.but both are okay.
Hi Richard: and continuing to watch even though you hate her is why she's still on: I stopped watching after the fisrst episode when she wasn't called by the judges on sabotaging the shopping (I noticed none of *her* ingredients got left behind) and not stepping up about the dessert. I realise that these are taped far in advance, but If people simply refuse to watch the final if Debbie is in it, someone in the organisation will have something to say about it
Agree with your opinion, but still think (hope) the judges will give her the boot. I will be very disappointed and surprised if they do not.
