    Susie,
    I appreciate your answering the Debbie question. However, the overwhelming majority of viewers who are taking the time to send you their opinions cannot overlook Debbie’s instinctive reaction to lie/blame others for her own bad decision.
    You had said that it’s harder to teach someone to be a TV personality than to teach them to cook. Well, you cannot teach integrity. It’s either there, or it’s not. Actions speak louder than words, and there is no denying that an initial reaction is a powerful clue to get a sense of a person.
    I know that the outcome of this show is already a foregone conclusion. I devoutly hope that Debbie did not win, as your viewership will decline in protest.
    I am very late coming to watch TV (at all). I have been watching FN for only about 6 months now. I absolutely love it, and it’s the only channel I watch (except for Jeopardy and PBS). Maybe because I’m new, I don’t mind the repeats, because I didn’t see the shows when they first aired.
    I love Guy’s “Triple D” and “Chopped”. I could watch thoseall day. Ditto Bobby Flay’s Throwdown. I also love “Food Detectives” and many of the FN Challenges, although I don’t watch the whole show when the Challenges are on.

    I agree with Aly’s (6/16) suggestion that the viewers help to judge. After all, we’re your audience.
    I also agree with Matt’s (6/16) comment that the next FN star will not be making large quantities of food in front of the camera, but will instead try to be a support/inspiration/source for all the real folks out there trying to cook for themselves and/or their families. Betty Allen’s (6/15) idea of a great show would be the established chefs taking more healthy cooking as a challenge, and showing the viewers how to make delicious food (that is ALSO healthy), instead of trying to make healthy food sound delicious. My husband and I went on the South Beach diet, and I took it as a personal challenge to stick to the diet, but cook food that anyone would want to eat. So far (and it’s been 4 weeks of 3 meals/day), my husband doesn’t miss the loaves of bread he ate every two days. He’s enjoying the food so much, he’s not feeling deprived at all, and is virtually unaware of being on a “diet”. And he’s lost 15 pounds. If I can do it, just imagine what classically trained real chefs can do!
