There is a wind tunnel right outside the Food Network offices. In the dead of winter, the dedicated employees here fight a raging vortex of frigid winds just to cross 9th Avenue to make it to work. It's especially fun when it's 16 degrees out, as it was this morning. 16F.

What can a dedicated FN staffer do to beat the punishing cold?

Eat some hearty, delicious, warming food. Last night, I put together what I consider the perfect dinner for a cold winter night - Beef Stroganoff. Quick and simple, I even made a few adjustments to lower the guilt factor without sacrificing flavor and richness. It was so tasty, I took a picture. Comfort food meets Healthy Eats. It gave me all the energy I needed on my morning commute, and battle with the arctic cyclone.
